Rich, vibrant blood orange colour. Rich malty nose (brown sugar, peaches, biscuits, stroop). Thick body showing alcohol (stronger than the 7% indicated), peaches, oranges, and loads of earthy, sticky malt like sponge toffee. Sweet finish.

a mahogony colored pour w/ a thick off white head ok lacing. Smells of a large hop front w/ a nice sweet malt backbone hints of oranges and light spices. Palate is full and creamy fairly well carbonated. Flavor is a bitter grass hop a light carmel malt hints of alcohol not much else this may improve w/ some aging to mellow and blend it out better. Overall a decent beer but not great. Thanks to Dave for sharing.

I have had my bottle for some time, not even sure how long. Poured Deep amber, with a off white creamy head. Aroma of earth, wood, vanilla, bourbon. Taste had all plus caramel. The alcohol was present, almost a distraction.

2006 22 oz. bottle via my Secret Santa - Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a 1/2 finger thick light tan head. Very little lacing. Aroma is full of esters and toasted malt. Lots of malt in the flavor with some noticeable bitterness to give it a bite. Medium to full body. Alcohol is slightly noticeable. A good BW. Thanks Andy.

2006: usual reddish brown body. Small to moderate head, decent to good lacing on the glass. Good aroma here, lotsa fruity hops with a big caramel malt base. Flavor was less impressive though. Felt off balance and there was quite a bit of alcohol in the finish. Not drowned in it, but much more than I prefer. Bitter finish with a syrupy mouthfeel. Not bad overall.

Pours a radiant, reddish brown, with a medium, thin white head. Smells of hops, caramel, sweet malts, and a little bitter fruit. Grapefruit mostly. Taste is quite sharp, some nice rich caramel, slightly bitter, but in a good way. Traces of cinnamon, and some sweeter grapefruit citrus. Faily smooth and balanced pretty well. Good showing.

Slightly bigger hop flavor than what I’m used to. Cloudy dark orange color. Fruity plum aroma. Slightly hot alcohol flavor. Full bodied with a slightly chalky texture and finish.
