Smuttynose Strawberry Short Weisse

Pouring at the Night of the Funk event in Boston. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a thin white head. Strawberries, cream, funk, but still light. Clean and fruity with a light tang.

(Draught) Pours a hazy golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of wheat, strawberries, earth, and light barnyard notes. Flavor of grain/wheat, strawberries, and light lemon with a dry finish.

Sample at NotF. Pours a cloudy golden color with a white foamy head. Nose is like biscuick biscuits and strawberry syrup. Palate is thick and fluffy. Flavor is strawberry shortcake, biscuits, light syrup. very nice and very interesting.

Tap at Swift Hibernian. The nose is mild, lactic, aluminum, and bitter cider vinegar. Nice acidic flavor, strawberry, with a light, quaffable, and dirty body. Good stuff.

Draft. Hazy blond body with a thin white head. Sour lacto notes, a light lemon peel, strawberries and cake like sweetness that is rather subtle. This was freaking awesome!

Tap at Swift Hibernian: (Labeled as Strawberry Weisse) Hazy golden pour with a white film of head. Strong lactic presence in the aroma- the strawberry character is very natural, subtle and dry- there’s also a tart lemony wheat note underneath the lactic acidity. Crisp body with a nice and lactic tart flavor. The fruit is really subtle, but knowing that it’s strawberry going into taste you, it’s detectable. Lemony very dry wheat body underneath the tart lactobacillus presence. A great Berliner Weisse.

labeled as shortcake weiss at rattle n hum. Musky champagne yeast aroma. Ultra bright carbonation. Dry with some straeberry tang.
