| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 1, 2008 Thanks bmartin. Pours hazy peachy amber with some sediment. Two finger creamy offwhite head. The nose is very hoppy, fruity, citrus, apricots, mild alcohol, lightly spicy resinous hops. Very nice nose. The flavor was very hoppy, citrusy, grapefruit peel, viscous mouthfeel, light alcohol, spicy, dry. Has a nice viscous mouthfeel, feels like a lot of grain went into making this. Finishes spicy and a bit bitter. The flavor is the only thing I’ll knock points off for, there’s one area that just doesn’t make it for me. lemasney (398), Trenton, New Jersey, USA

First Impression: An amazing example of the style. Aroma is flowery, hoppy, and citrus. Visuals are a deep copper under a thin yellow white head. Visibly carbonated. Taste is a deep hoppy citrus & pine. Very nice example. I enjoyed it with a very spicy homemade chicken curry and some naan. Palate has a long beautiful finish. Tongue registers sweet, bitter, and salty. Second Impression. Amazing. An absolutely satisfying imperial double IPA.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 27, 2008 Bomber. Big spicy, floral nose with boozy aromas. Clear copper color with a white head with staying power. Interesting flavors, not exactly the standard IPA. There is a huge hop taste for sure, but also some smokiness, honey, and a lot of warmth from the alcohol. Goes down with some burn and leaves a bit of stickiness in the mouth. Really a complex beer and not one I’d session, but quite unique. I’d definitely buy this again as it pairs nicely with strong flavored foods. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 25, 2008 Bottle: Golden pour with a nice frosty haze, smaller beige head. Aroma is bright with grassey hops and light citrus. Not a much bitters as I had hoped for, but still a fair amount of grassey and resinlike qualities. Some modest alcohol presence. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 24, 2008 Pours a bright, slighty hazy orangish amber with a big puffy off-white head that showed excellent retention and nice lacing. The slightest swirl builds a one-finger head back up. Great looking beer. Very balanced aroma with big citrus grapefruit and lemon smell up front balaced with some nice bready malts and caramel as well. Taste follows the smell pretty consistently with the big grapefruit hop bitterness up front which gives way to the caramel malts before the hops take back the taste with a slightly resiny finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with strong carbonation leaving the mouth coated in creamy, hoppy goodness. I found this beer to be extremely drinkable given its really well balanced taste. This is a great example of the style and I would seek it out - highly recommended.
