Glad I got a fresh one so I could drink it with my aged ’05 bottle. The ’05 bottle was nice but had turned into a smoother sweeter almost barley wine. All the hops were gone. Fresh the hops were nice and preferred the fresh experience. carl4beer (407), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA

Strong palate. pamoja (57), Rochester, New York, USA

I had a 22 ounce and when I poured what was left ver it was the most unbelievable hazy amber pour I have ever seen. It was almost like an american pale ale. Not as hoppy as an IPA. Very well balance. Comparable to Acme pale ale. Very nice nondiminishing head. One of my favs!!!!! tunneler (113), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 21, 2007 Big aroma and a good balance with the high alcohol content on this one. As you’d expect, huge pine/citrus hops and a bitter finish, but not as biting as their IPA somehow. theviolet (169), New York, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Oct 17, 2007 Bottle from tap at NBD in NYC. Wow, aroma smells so fresh. Tons of hops, a little sweetness. Small white head, goes away quickly. Bright golden appearance. Kind of a mild sweet lemony flavor backed with lots of hops. Very bitter finish. Too sticky and syrupy in the mouthfeel for me. Great beer though, one of the best aromas. drewbeerme (2306), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 11, 2007 Bigger better version of the IPA. I find it to have more sweet pine or distinguishable citrus characters. Nice body with a head that retains well. Malts of caramel with a hint of roasts or chocolate.
