Oct 5, 2009 Updated: Oct 6, 2009What a great night for beer tasting at Rattle n Hum, with Adrian and Angie! This was from a cask. Grapefruit and orange hop flavors, complex and fruity, and it closes with warmth and a hoppy bite. It is also sweet and a little numbing, with a touch of clove. Very, very tasty!

Aug 12, 2009 Earthy hop aroma, pours a hazy golden/brown w carbonation bubles orbiting the glass. Extra hoppy but doesn’t overpower the malt.

Jul 31, 2009 Overall a very nice IPA. Nice amber color, citrusy flavor, sweet malt and a hint of vanilla ?!? This beer came very highly recommended by friends, but after a couple bottles I was not overly impressed. Something was missing ... the finish. Maybe I’m just spoiled, having just finished a case of DFB 90 Minute IPA, the week before.

Jul 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours an amber orange body with an off white head. Sweet citrus and peach y hop character modest warming with a caramel pine finish. Nice.

Jun 21, 2009 22 oz bottle, 2008 edition. Pours a deep
orange/amber color with a thick creamy white head. Also, a creamy lace is left behind. Never seen lace quite like this. Nose is grapefruit and pine. Thick, chewy palate with low carbonation. Flavor is dominated by hops as you would expect, but there’s also a nice malty presence as well. This one is definetly a winner.

May 21, 2009 Bottle. Light to moderate malt notes of roasted and caramel, heavy grapefruit peel for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with date and pepper in the background. Head is average size, creamy, off-white, with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy, dark orange/tan. Flavor starts moderately acidic then finishes moderately acidic and heavily bitter. Palate is medium, oily, and has a lively carbonation. A big, heady DIPA. The hop component in this is an absolute knockout.

Apr 4, 2009 22 oz. bottle via a trade with??? This is a standard clear amber color with a medium off white head. Resiny, sweet,citrus, hoppy nose with an adequate amount of caramel malts. I enjoyed this DIPA, but in a different way than I might one from the West Coast. It was not as bold as some, but had a solid balance between the caramel malt and the citrus and resiny hops. The finish had just the right amount of bitterness for this beer.

Mar 2, 2009 Unfair rating alert--> I’m not a fan of IPA’s but my boyfriend made me try this so I am going to rate it. Spicy nose of acidic hops. Flavor was all hops and sweetness with a hint of alcohol.
