This beer’s 500th rate! Hooray! Pours a clear golden color with a medium frothy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma is beautiful, floral and citrus hop notes with a bit of a resiny bite in the end. Taste is citrus hops with a good amount of bitterness, some floral notes and some nutty malty notes. Medium-full bodied. Good beer.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 31, 2009 Clear golden pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is of floral and earthy hops. Flavor is way more aggressive than the aroma, with a lot of bitter floral hops. Back-end has some medium malt sweetness with a sweet-candy finish. Very sweet IIPA, resinous hoppy finish. From the aroma I figured this one would be weak, but I was wrong! Sparky27 (1640), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

pours hazy golden to orange yellow with a big white head and some clingy lacing.
citrusy smell... especially orange skin with pine, grass, herbals, florals, spice and lots of caramel.
unfortunately, this falls into the category of too sweet. it doesn’t matter how much the flavor mirrors the aroma, i can’t get past the sugar.
it is medium-full bodied with the sweetness making it seem even thicker. 7/3/6/3/13.5/3.25 tastybeer (139), Washington DC, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 27, 2009 22oz Bottle, purchased at Haxton Liquors - Warwick, RI. A refreshing piney aroma, that takes me back to my first hoppy beers at Fitger’s and the fresh spring pineywoods of northern Michigan. Vibrant and electric. Pours a slightly translucent shimmering gold, with a gentle rim of whitish. Flavor begins a nip soapy, but then the piney hop character picks up steam. Some honey-like sweetness blows across the bough mid-palate. This is a solid beer. Strong resinous hop character, filled with mixed spicy and piney flavors, balanced by clean malt sugars, finished with minimal to no yeast flavor. Excellent. jredmond (1072), New Jersey, USA
