Commercial Description:
For our hopping regime we went with Cascade and Nuggets in the boiling addition. Centennials were added every 5 minutes for the last 30 minutes of the boil. We added Crystals into the whirlpool. Dry hopping was done in both the fermentor after primary fermentation and the bright tank. We used a mixture of Chinook, Nuggets, and Sterlings in the fermentors and whole leaf Centennials in the bright tank.

22 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. This beer’s 500th rate! Hooray! Pours a clear golden color with a medium frothy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma is beautiful, floral and citrus hop notes with a bit of a resiny bite in the end. Taste is citrus hops with a good amount of bitterness, some floral notes and some nutty malty notes. Medium-full bodied. Good beer.

Clear golden pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is of floral and earthy hops. Flavor is way more aggressive than the aroma, with a lot of bitter floral hops. Back-end has some medium malt sweetness with a sweet-candy finish. Very sweet IIPA, resinous hoppy finish. From the aroma I figured this one would be weak, but I was wrong!

Bomber shared by hellbilly at the Black Friday tasting. Thanks Josh – been wanting to try this one for a while. Pours clear gold with a one finger white head. The nose is ripe citrus and sweet malt. The taste is earthy hops, tart citrus, caramel malt and pine. Medium bodied. Tasty IPA.

The aroma is hoppy with grass, pine, sage, citrus, and caramel. The appearance is amber gold with a large head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall this is good but not great, pretty strait forward IIPA.

2009 bottle by way of ucusty. tasted 11/27/2009. pours hazy golden to orange yellow with a big white head and some clingy lacing. citrusy smell... especially orange skin with pine, grass, herbals, florals, spice and lots of caramel. unfortunately, this falls into the category of too sweet. it doesn’t matter how much the flavor mirrors the aroma, i can’t get past the sugar. it is medium-full bodied with the sweetness making it seem even thicker. 7/3/6/3/13.5/3.25

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a big white head and lots of lacing. Smells like pine, and taste is smooth piney/citrus. This bottle was super dank, great DIPA.

22oz Bottle, purchased at Haxton Liquors - Warwick, RI. A refreshing piney aroma, that takes me back to my first hoppy beers at Fitger’s and the fresh spring pineywoods of northern Michigan. Vibrant and electric. Pours a slightly translucent shimmering gold, with a gentle rim of whitish. Flavor begins a nip soapy, but then the piney hop character picks up steam. Some honey-like sweetness blows across the bough mid-palate. This is a solid beer. Strong resinous hop character, filled with mixed spicy and piney flavors, balanced by clean malt sugars, finished with minimal to no yeast flavor. Excellent.
