Aroma displays a definitive yeast character with spicy notes and some phenol coming through. Very citrusy in the nose as well with notes of ripe orange and citrus rind with a mildly grassy background. The flavor is very fruity with upfront citrus rind and earthy yeast, spicy notes and a dry finish. Flavor doesn’t have as many distinctive tiers of character as the aroma does. Palate is dry with a nice citrus rind bitterness. TURDFERGUSON (1606), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA

A pretty nice American saison here but still lacking the depth and finesse of some of it’s Belgian brothers and sisters. Nice citrus and earthy flavors with a relatively dry finish. A little juicy, but a nice brew from sluttyhose nonetheless. j12601 (1338), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA

Pouring at their booth at BCTC. Pours a clearish light brown amber with a thin white head. Candy, plums, lemon, and wheat on the nose. Thin to medium bodied, with a nice zesty lemon component. A bit grassy. Finishes crisp with a light bitterness. Nice easy saison.

Poured a slightly hazed orange with a smaller bright white fluffy head. Fruity and doughy aroma. Smooth body that was slightly creamy and highly quaffable. Aroma is fruity and grainy with only a light touch of spice. Rather nice. kevd193213 (512), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 19, 2009 Draft at Rattle ’n Hum. Poured a hazy light orange-gold color. The head was white and left some lace behind on the glass. Attractive aromas of butter, caramel, and orange. Medium bodied and slightly sweet with yeasty bread dough, baking spices, and a light fruity note. Seemed like there was more alcohol than 7.4%. Very good. Nice hazy orange colour with a small white head. Aroma was mostly malt and sweet fruits. Flavour was more of the same but also some yeast and then a big dose of spice hits your lips at the finish. Pleasant.
