argo0 (6230), Washington DC, USA Aug 9, 2008 (BCTC, growler, thanks mds) Clear apple juice body with medium white head. Aroma is medium sweet, some rye, herbal, light bread. Fairly dry finish, light-medium body. Not very bockish, seems more Saisonlike. acrdz (4373), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 5, 2008 22oz bottle shared by IPFreely. Clear gold colored body. Nose is sweetish cereal grains and white bread... flavor is mostly sharp and syrupy corn, honey and oat flavored cereal grains, a little more of a sweet corn note on the back... somewhat sharp but also mildly dry throughout. Good body, mull and thick enough for the style, almost too think at times... dries in the finish, overall has some staleness but it’s quite good otherwise. jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jun 14, 2008 on tap @Blind Tiger-pours a retaining off white head and cloudy amber color. Aroma is sweet medium malt-caramel/rock candy, medium fruit. Taste is sweet medium malt-caramel/rock candy, medium fruit, then secondary citrus and continental hops bite. Some alcohol. OK/mild carbonation. JoeMcPhee (3807), Jackson Heights, New York, USA May 9, 2008 Tap at Mugs Ale House. Deep brown beer, thin head. Aroma is quite sweet and chewy. Sweet caramel and toast with a lingering toffeeish sweetness. It’s a bit sticky and seems quite underattenuated. Honeyish and sweet. I like the aroma, but the beer is so sticky and sweet that it’s hard to enjoy it. goldtwins (3740), Nesconset, New York, USA Jun 5, 2008 Draft @ Mugs Alehouse. Poured a hazed amber color with a tan head. Dry aroma with notes of raisins and caramel. Sweet flavor with notes of dried dark fruits. Semi-sweet finish with some sugary notes. Medium bodied.
