Pours a very very deep ruby with a very nice billowy head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma holds lots of dark fruit; fig, raisin, plum, and sweet molasses malt. Flavor is very sweet, with the same dark fruit concepts, but also a definite alcohol presence. Not overly complex, but very tasty. A good quad, and a nice end to a ridiculous night of brews with oteyj and jblauvs.

This quad was a tad too sweet, the abv wasnt hidden enough and the yeast a little too prevalant, but it did have this after taste that brought back memories of working on the old fruit farm when i was a yound lad.

Aroma: Big Belgian yeast and malt aroma. Very fruity and full.
Appearance: Dark reddish brown in color, Clear with a thin head.
Flavor: Big Belgian flavor with a great fruit like quality.

Bottle thanks to cletus!
Dark red-brown, flickering in the light, and a small beige head with lacing. Nose is grassy with some bubblegum, also sugary. Very sugary flavor, some nut and fruit. Rather short, sticky finish, some sweeter candy notes. Too sweet without much complexity.

Bottle, thanks to Jimbowood. Light brown pour, a little hazy with some light tan head. Aroma is vanilla and dense malt / dark fruit. This one seemed a lot more like an un-hoppy barleywine to me. Lots of rich caramel and vanilla flavor once it warmed.

Dark red, opaque pour with a good lookign tan head. Aroma is incredible... dried, dark fruit, molasses, rum, raisin, chocolate, fig and it goes on. Not quite full bodied, but close. Flavor is sweet and malty, but not quite as intense as the aroma implied. More of a woodsy, malt, dark fruit aroma, some raisin. Pretty darn good.

bomber from a trade with Glouglouburp. pour deep maroon with a tan head that lingers. the aroma is a little shy but consists mostly of dark fruit. the flavour is similar, some dark fruit and some barley malt. this brew has more of an english barley wine feel to it then a quad. its not a bad brew but its far from my fav quad. thx for the bottle dany.

Bottle shared at a BeerAdvocate tasting. Reddish-brown with a beige head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, candi sugar, and dark fruits. Flavor is very sweet with caramel malt, toffee, spiced rum, and dark fruit notes. Smooth medium-full and somewhat syrupy palate. Decent beer but not a standout within its style.
