Dec 9, 2009 Boozy sweet aroma. Caramel and some fruit: berry and raisin. Sweetness is overpowering in the aroma and distracts a bit. Body is not as full and complete as I would like. Decent overall.

Aroma is of cherries, some alcohol, light chocolate.
Flavour is of toffee, highly sweet, cherries and alcohol.
Sweet mouth, med body, mod carb.
Finishes sweet, lingering.
Not really a quad. Highly sweet.

Nov 28, 2009 22. pours clear and still medium burgundy with no head, lace, or legs. big sweet spicy black currant nose, some good fruity tang to it. lots of alcohol twang there as well. sticky, thickish body. dark spices and dark fruit on the mid palate. sweet and sticky...interesting.

Nov 23, 2009 Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark red-chestnut color with a large foamy orange-beige head. The aroma had a whole lot going on, starting sweet and nutty and possessing notes of ripe cherries, port, wood, and cocoa. The flavor was equally complex with a tart and tangy base with solid notes of black cherry, molasses, sugar, wood, port wine, pineapple and cocoa. Amazingly complex. The finish was long nutty cherry and cocoa. Full bodied. Amazing.

Nov 22, 2009 Pours a three finger light tan head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Deep ruby, almost black color. Medium carbonation and heavy bodied. Dark fruit nose. Flavor is sweet dark fruit, hops way in background. Brown sugar finish. Sweeter than the typical quad. $5.49 for a 22oz bottle from Beverage Warehouse Winooski, VT.

Nov 14, 2009 Bomber courtesy of maniac. Pours a semi hazy burgandy with large cola head. A weird potpourri nose, like lavender, or rose petals. Flavor is fruity and floral, like rum-raisin or fruitcake. Extremely sweet brown sugary syrupy body. Not a bad beer, but just WAY too sweet. Not really finding the belgian yeast on this one. don’t know what to think of this one.
