this was a poor fruit beer. The cherry flavor was almost non-existent. The aroma was so slight the I had to really try to feel it. The beer is smooth and light, the women will love it.

Reddish brown pour with a small head. Cherry aroma with a bitter cherry flavor. I expected more from smutty, but I don’t find this to be as bad as many people seem to think. I would choose this over most fruit beers because it has more pale ale characteristics than most fruit beers I’ve had. The cherry flavor is tart compared to the sweeter cherry flavor found in something like a Sam Adams Cherry Wheat or Bells Cherry Stout.

Not good. Too thin, even for the style. Tart cherries and some strange acidity that was not pleasant. Bitter and sour finish. No complexity in the flavor. Not malty or hoppy, just boring. Like a bad sour ale.

my friend told me this tastes like sam adams cherry wheat and i got nervous beforehand because cherry wheat tastes like cherry 7up. this was a billion times better. i bought it 2 days in a row and then never wanted it again, its thats kind of beer. Its a bitter, tart cherry sensation and then it kinda lingers stale in your mouth. at first i really liked it but never again. atleast, i have a funny looking bottle for display...

12 ounce bottle from Wine and Beer Westpark in Richmond, VA. Pours a clear cherry red, appropriately enough. Medium head with moderate head retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet cherries with grainy bread notes. Taste is cherries and green apple with a bitter finish. Medium bodied.

It pours amber – brown with weak tan head. The aroma is fruity with tart fruit skin notes and cherry – cranberry sweetness. The taste begins both sweet and mildly tart with cherry and cranberry type notes. By midway it may be possible to notice the malty “beer” note struggling to be noticed amid the fruitiness. I do notice it but for an all too brief spell. It ends with the modest fruity tartness drying it out some.

Bottle that i cant seem to take off display. Pours an amber body with a yellow head. Sweet cherry tart and floral fruity character. Sweet and enjoyable brew.

This one has been a sleeper for me and I didn’t even know it. Overall I have enjoyed it. Try aging this. A two year old bottle is just awesome. Some sourness, great fruit flavor and pleasant to drink. Some almost brettyness to it.
