Poured a clear amber with a fizzy white head. Aroma of some ambiguous fruit essence and some dusty toffee. Flavor is rather bland with a light citrusy fruity twist that gives it a slight depth of character, but not enough to make it worthwhile. The actual fruit character seemed equivocal to me, and only by looking at the label could I label it "cherry", so I won’t count that in the flavor description. Inoffensive but unexciting. As I drank it, I pretty much decided against buying any more beers just to try them, as I was fantasizing about all the other beers I could have enjoyed with my meal as an alternative to this one.

Sorry Smutty but this beer was pretty mundane. Nothing fruity about it. It tastes like bitter watered down fruit syrup really. A lot of carbonation holding this beer back as well. Ice cold, this beer is pretty good, but only because it is subdued in every way.

The strong malt backing in this beer is quite good and the beer looks nice and has a fresh aroma. But the cherry juice doesn’t quite work. The flavors don’t seem well integrated with the cherry at odds with the beer as opposed to offering a refreshing sourness. Still, quite drinkable.

This has a wild label featuring a photo of a little doll and a Japanese lucky cat statuette, with Mount Fuji and cherry blossoms in the background. It is a reddish brass color with a nice little head. Unusual flavor - sour cherry and lime, malt, light hops. This is as sour and citrusy a beer as I can think of, a little like wine. I give them points for uniqueness. You could have it instead of wine in some circumstances. I could swear I had a bottle of this in which the sweet cherry flavor stood out more - that was better.

terrible. that’s all i would’ve said but this site is making me use at least 75 characters to count it so i might as well talk a little more about how bad it is. is a little sour which i’m not a fan of, and the commercial discription described cherries, cherries, cherries, and all i taste is rotten, rotten, rotten.

Bottle and served in NB Flute glass: Clean coppery hue with a small but lasting frothy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of crystal and toasted malts, dusty yeast, cherry pits more than real cherry flesh and almond vapours. The taste has a moderate fruity twang over a layer of sweet and grainy malt. The midesection displays a nutty and biscuity quality. The finish is tart but short and not a lot of depth. The mouth feel is lively and crisp with a hit of metal. Really this does not do much to make me want it again but it is drinkable enough.

Pours a ruby red colour with a slow moving hazy particulates. Small Off white Cream head. Aroma of cherries and sweet malts. Initial taste is tart cherry that fades into a stale hops. Body is thin and un-inviting. Some head retention. Not a favorite of mine from smutty.
