The aroma is fruity with tart fruit skin notes and cherry – cranberry sweetness. The taste begins both sweet and mildly tart with cherry and cranberry type notes. By midway it may be possible to notice the malty “beer” note struggling to be noticed amid the fruitiness. I do notice it but for an all too brief spell. It ends with the modest fruity tartness drying it out some. Rciesla (3750), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

Sweet cherry tart and floral fruity character. Sweet and enjoyable brew. yobdoog (1477), Woodridge NY, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 18, 2009 This one has been a sleeper for me and I didn’t even know it. Overall I have enjoyed it. Try aging this. A two year old bottle is just awesome. Some sourness, great fruit flavor and pleasant to drink. Some almost brettyness to it. mistersinalin (378), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Jun 13, 2009 Who sneaked into the brewery and made this? The beer fails in flavor and marketing. Looking at the bottle, I’m not sure why I bought one. Then, once I tasted this, I was sure of my mistake. There is cherry flavor in this, but it is as if someone floated a couple cherry lifesavers in it. The rest tasted like sour apple and dissolved metal. halfonit (468), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 12, 2009 Has a descent cloudy brown color. Smells mostly of malts and cherries. Taste is basically the same. Full of malts and cherries. Has a little bit of a bitter aftertaste. Not too bad but not that great either. Elwood (677), Leesburg, Virginia, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jun 6, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a foamy, light tan head. The nose is sweet malt, a little fruity, some vegetals, cherries, and a little sourness. Medium-high carbonation with a light mouthfeel. First taste is of lightly tart cherries with a light malt background. Unfortunately, it all ends there. Very one dimensional. There is a short, clean finish. Sometimes I wish a beer came with instructions on the brewers intent. I can’t think of any occasion where I would drink this. Not terrible mind you, but just not enough "beer" attitude or dynamic enough to be very creative. Naven (876), Poway, California, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 26, 2009 Deep rich amber color. Aroma is of rust and metal. Flavor is super tart, metallic and vegetable like. I have liked nearly everything I have had from Smuttynose, but this is just awful. unclemattie (2427), Georgia, USA
