pours copper/ruby, beige head. Aroma malty, cherry almost puree like, light fruit tartness. Taste, thick malty, light cherry fruits, filled with cherry juice and malts, notes of light chocolate with bitter finish.

12 oz. brown bottle. No freshness date seen. Poured out a reddish amber color, with no head. Aromas are of canned cherry concentrate, lager yeast. Flavors are same as aromas. Lager yeast & canned cherry juice. Thin body & mouthfeel. Not very good, IMHO.

12oz bottle. This is like a slightly better version of Sam Adams Cherry wheat. Pours a reddish amber with a beige head. Cherry juice aroma with a hint of yeast. Flavor is wheat yeasty with some off putting cereal graininess and a dominating artifical cherry juice flavor. Not my thing.

bottle. cherry hued amber color under a tan head. sweet toasty malt aroma but no sign of fruit yet. flavor is tart and tangy from the cherry with lots of toasted malts with a cake/cereal/dough aftertaste. full bodied. i have to agree with my fellow georgian pals...this is pretty good stuff.

16 ounce pint - $4.75 at the Brick Store Pub. Appearance: Pours a near clear, reddish-mahogany body with a foamy cap of off-white head. Smell: Inviting toasted malt nose with some slight, sweetish cherry notes and, upon warming, some perceived cinnamon hints. Taste: Toasted malts with a light sweetness. Delicate background taste of cherry. Generally spicy hop character with a mild imparted bitterness. The malts disengage prior the finish, allowing for the tart cherry additive to stand out just a bit more prominently. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A pleasant, worthy fruit beer that doesn’t bowl you over (or send you running for a glass of water) with fruit flavor, instead erring on the side of understatement. This is two fruit beers I’ve generally enjoyed in as many days, what is happening to me?

Draft at Brick Store Pub. Pours cloudy amber red with tan, slightly-pink head. The aroma is hoppy and fruity with subtle acid - apricot, berries, and grapefruit hops. The flavor has some acid and lots of intriguing fruit flavors - berries, cherry, peach - with some slight bready malt flavor and firm fruity hops. The finish is dry with tart fruit, hops, and a light, cakey, malt sweetness. The mouthfeel is soft with medium carbonation level, medium-full body, and a distinct acidity with subtle sourness all over the mouth. Overall, refreshing and unexpectedly interesting.

What the fuck Smuttynose? I got respect for these guys so when I saw a cherry beer by them in the store I copped a bottle without even thinking about it. This is just some weak grainy ale with a faint hint of cherry that fails to do anything positive other than turn the head a neat color. This is one of those, "I only finished this because I was thirsty" type beers.

Pours redish brown with light tan head. Smells like maraschino cherries. Taste is similar, sweet artificial cherry. Intersting. Better than I was expecting. Light to medium body with average carbonation.
