| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 9, 2008 I sampled at 12 oz. bottle. Pours a copper-colored body, with little foam or head. The aroma is sour and musty, with a few aroma hops. Palate entry is instantly tart, with little malt character, which appears in the mid-palate backbone and long finish. Tart cherry flavors predominate, and there is a strong drying coda with some light hop character. Interesting, but a bit overdone. craftycarl21 (552), South Hero, Vermont, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 6, 2008 pours a mostly opaque dark red with minimal head. aroma is of tart cherry, spice, and sweetness, almost like some sort of sugary beverage. flavor certainly gets points for being unique- tart cherry is dominant, with the sweetness lingering. the mouthfeel isn’t bad, a little watery, and has the feeling of drinking the little ice cream remnants of a root beer float. i think this is underrated due to it’s odd nature, but still a drinkable and decent brew. phishpond417 (1946), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 29, 2008 Pours a clear reddish brown colour. Small head. it holds down a taste that comes across a little sour, hint of cherry juice, but its more syrupy-caramel tasting then anything else. Aroma is oddball, spice, sugar and grass. Clear, copper with fluffy white head.
Floral and spice notes over light malt aroma. Complex cherry and some other spices with a bit of a sour twang. Light fairly dry finish with some residual floral herbal spiceyness. Interesting beer. puzzl (2619), New York, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | May 12, 2008 Bottled. I actually rather enjoyed this one. The fruit works well with the firm, wheaty flavors of the malt. Cherry sweetness but not too much. Very drinkable. MrManning (1647), London, Ontario, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 7, 2008 Nose of sour cherries and musty wet barn. Cream soda and muted malts. Pours a deep pink/red with a frothy off white cap. Tastes of overly sweet cherries and cream soda, sugary candy and a bit of hay. This beer needs more tartness, acidity, and a lot less risidual sugar towards the end, as it finishes cloying and becomes a chore to drink. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 7, 2008 Bottled, the body is dark copper with a light tan head. The aroma is light blueberries with some dark bread. There is also some cantalope melon. The taste is like cranberries baked into some sweet bread. There is also a little bit of bread crust. | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 2, 2008 VERY thick head that laces the glass. Not much to the aroma, and a very bitter taste. Reminds me of sweet tarts that have been soaked in lemon juice and vinegar. Yuck. Not good. Only to be consumed while watching Japanese Hentai and eating sushi.
