Aroma has a lot going on with notes of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, floral notes as well. Light alcoholic sniff, prune, date, licorice and light berries feel over the palate. Full bodied with a light alcoholic and dry texture with a soft carbonation. Moderated bitter and sweet flavor. Bitter finish. 07-09-2007 RiverHorse (454), New Jersey, USA Sep 11, 2007 Pours a dark, opaque black into the snifter with a large, sticky tan head and thicky, sticky lacing. A beautiful chocolate and coffee scent engulf the nose and excite the palate. A nice malt/hop balance for an Imperial Stout with hints of coffee, dates, chocolate cake and roasted nuts.
