| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 30, 2009 12 oz bottle that I let sit at room temp for a while to let it come up to temp. Pours a dark orange, a bit cloudy, big white head. Big nose too - piney, citrus. Smooth for an IPA, but an IPA it sure is. IMO, the best American IPA I’ve had. Great stuff. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Draught: This one pours an orange tinged golden color. There was a bit of a white head on it, and it leaves some lacing down the glass. Decent enough aroma. Hints of citrus and piney hops, with some faint malts coming through. The taste is quite good. A well balanced IPA with a fair amount of bitterness. Flavors of both grapefruit and pine give it its bitterness. A Very Good IPA. billlmiky (15), , New York, USA
