| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Draught: This one pours an orange tinged golden color. There was a bit of a white head on it, and it leaves some lacing down the glass. Decent enough aroma. Hints of citrus and piney hops, with some faint malts coming through. The taste is quite good. A well balanced IPA with a fair amount of bitterness. Flavors of both grapefruit and pine give it its bitterness. A Very Good IPA. billlmiky (15), , New York, USA

A- Pours a clear light orange hue, off-white head dissipates to a ring, big lacing all over
S- Big grass and fresh green hops, touches of citrus and grapefruit, subtle malts, quite delicious smelling
T- Initial taste is green earthy hops, very bitter with some chalkiness, malts are subtle at best, finishes dry and bitter with floral highlights
M- Medium-bodied, oily texture coats the tongue, amped up carbonation
D- The hops are big and bold here, this is a very bitter single IPA, wish there was a little more malt balance, but overall solid and easy drinking nickd717 (1389), Palo Alto, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 9, 2009 A good IPA, but by no means a standout. Fairly typical IPA appearance (not going to bore you here) with a slight haziness. Flavor is sweet malt and a typical East coast hop profile (lots of Simcoe) as well as some Amarillo, which is more typical of West coasters from what I have seen. Drinkable and satisfying but wont knock your socks off.
