Aug 22, 2008 Pours a nice slightly hazy gold with a thin white head. Aroma is of citrusy hops and malts. Sharp hop flavor is smoothed out with malts, but it still finishes with hops. I find this IPA to be simply delicious, and the label on the bottle makes it even better. I highly recommend this one.

Aug 17, 2008 This looks like an original one. It’s got an unfiltered, orange-tinged, and golden haze and very fine--but sparce--head. Equally unusual and nuanced smell that comes on as simultaneously sharp hops and deep maltiness. In the nose, the maltiness is sweet, dank, and earthen; the piney hops finally take over. The uncharacteristic flavour is more tangy than malty with a yeastiness--all of which make it a unique IPA. Medium body with a slightly bitter finish that ends quickly.

Aug 14, 2008 Golden yellow color with a small white head. Very nice citrusy American hop flavor and bitterness. Not as over the top as west coast IPA’s, more balance with malt flavors. Very good.

Aug 12, 2008 Bottle from store in Smugglers Notch, VT. Rich golden color with a small head. Floral hops, malt and honey all over the nose. Flavor is really nice. Malt and hops are everywhere. Very much an east coast IPA. Mouthfeel is nice. Taste is exactly like a tart grapefruit balanced by some malt.

Aug 12, 2008 Cask at GBBF 2008 Wonderful peachy/apricot aroma. The taste was less punishing on the tastebuds than I was expecting with lovely refreshing flavourscoming through from th American hops. The bitterness hung around for a while, there was some pithiness at the rear of the mouth, most enjoyable.

Aug 11, 2008 Has a copper-orange pour and a white head, there are some floaties in this brew, left creamy white bubbled lacing on the glass, aroma of sweet and toasted malt, some caramel aroma, floral, citrus and grass hop fragrances, light fruit fragrances, sweet malt and orange fruit flavors with a good hop herb like bitterness, citrus pine needles linger into the finish and stay some afterwards, medium mouth feel with even carbonation, this is creamy on the palate and easy to drink.
