Strong aroma of citrus, with orange and especially grapefruit peel dominating along with a light hint of caramel. Taste is lightly sweet initially with a really strong taste of grapefruit peel, and a lingering bitter finish. Medium mouthfeel, not too bad. OSLO (829), Minnesota, USA

Aroma is big citrusy hops but with a little too much grainy malt towards the end. Taste is bitter hops with a pretty good maltiness also present. Medium mouthfeel with a lingering bitterness. A very drinkable IPA. Old Rating: 7/3/7/4/15=3.6. Re-Rate: Pours hazy orange with a white head that leaves good lacing. Big, grassy aroma that is ok. Taste is big and hoppy as well, and balanced with solid malt. Very nice. Good mouthfeel and very smooth. Finish is a little short. Extremely drinkable--could really session this. A really good IPA that makes up for a slightly subpar aroma with its taste and drinkability. hoplover406 (204), Crofton, Maryland, USA

Bitter hop bite and not much malt to balance it out. meh. Slipstream (780), USA

The aroma is nice, but pretty light. Full-flavored and has plenty of juicy hops. A little sharp. A fine IPA. It is very nice from a cask or a bottle, and I also tried it as "The Finest Kind" on tap. bhensonb (4361), Woodland, California, USA

Orange tinged golden color with a white head that flattened and ringed. Medium to full in body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is grapefruit hop, backed by pine and a little pale malt. Not balanced. Who cares. 65 IBUs is delicious. Pretty darn smooth. Ughsmash (4074), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA

Poured hazy medium golden with a short cap of off-white head and a few spots of lacing. The aroma picked up high doses of pine and grapefruit hoppage, but had an unpleasant vegetal sweetness paired with pale malts. The flavor was very hop-forward with rough resiny pine notes first and foremost.. mostly pale malts and a little grapefruit meat at the core.. long, bitter finish that seemed to be bitter for the hell of it. Medium-bodied and very bitter on the palate.. balance was OK. guzzler67 (1286), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 22, 2008 Hazy amber/orange appearance wih an average size white head and very good lacing. Aroma evolved from fruity sweet to fruity citrus along with some resin. Similiar hops dominate the taste and are off set by earthy, lightly toasted malts. Medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel; dry, bitter, durable finish. A tick or two (or three) higher than the average IPA. Well constructed and consistently good. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
