Jan 26, 2008 Had in a bottle. I kind of forgot how much I liked this beer. Had shortly after having a Harpoon and man could you taste the difference. A bit of citrus and hop in the smell and a light to light medium body.

Jan 23, 2008 "Definitely not a training-wheels IPA", no kidding. Nice pour, hefe in appearance but maybe a bit lighter. Nose is sour - fruits and spice are very pleasing.. yet its broken up by a acidic body oder aroma! somehow it still isnt offensive. Mouth is very strong.. clove, spice, and sour deodorants. I can see why some people would really like this.

Jan 22, 2008 12oz bottle - Poured hazey staw color with little head. Aroma is fresh floral hops. Initial taste is bitter with smooth finish. This beer has a different hop taste and I"m not sure I like it. I will try again and maybe rerate.

Jan 19, 2008 Updated: Jul 13, 2008Poured a hazy orangey copper with a small white head and lots of seidment. Aroma is floral and citrus hops with some light bready malt in the background. Taste is dominated by hop bitterness. Very long bitter finish. Good IPA if you like hops, could be a double with a bit more alcohol.

Jan 17, 2008 Poured a hazy amber/orange with some sediment floating around. Aroma was very hoppy. The hops are very distinct in this IPA, giving it a crisp citrus flavor. The aftertaste is smooth and a bit sweet.

Jan 10, 2008 Pours a hazy orange with lots of sediment and a big white head. Aroma is kinda weak. Great flavor simcoe comes tru in the end. Very good ipa. Wow that went down quick!

Jan 9, 2008 Bottle courtesy of kmweaver. Pours a hazy gold with a lot of fine sediment and a loose, frothy head. The head consists of large bubbles which create a crystalline pattern unlike any other I’ve seen before. Interesting but not necessarily appealing. The nose is fairly muted for an IPA, with citrus and earthy hops over a light, pale malt note. A funky "cat pee" Simcoe note detracts from the nose but fades a bit as the beer warms/airs out. The mouthfeel is classic "take another sip" IPA: light to medium-bodied and slick with a solid, lingering and tongue-squeezing bitterness at the finish which strips your tongue of moisture...prompting you to take another sip. The flavor is a well-balanced blend of sweet pale malt and citrus concluding with a satisfyingly bitter finish. This is a beer that will please any self-proclaimed hop head; a solid IPA that I wouldn’t hesitate to drink again. Thanks, Ken!

Jan 3, 2008 Draft at Flatbread Pizza in Old Port, Portland, Maine. Nice nose of floral hops, Simcoe’s not my favorite hop, but nice nonetheless. Pleasant body that backs up the hop bitterness. Would recommend.
