Flavors of citrus, grassy, pretty aggressive hops. This is not flowery but more like a wet hops beer. Grains deliver some contrast in the background, but that this is a serious IPA. beerlord (215), tonawanda, New York, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 18, 2007 Cloudy goldon color with a ton of sediment, probably the most sedimented bottle condition ale i have ever had. Weak hop aroma if you really stick your nose far int eh glass for a long time, thin mouth feel. Some hops flavor and bitterness, both very low for the style, not a good IPA at all, contrary to the commericial description this IS a beginner IPA and not for true hop heads. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 18, 2007 Bright apricot shaded pour with lasting foam. A straightforward rendition right from the soil. Grapefruit, caramel, and jasmine aroma. A bit of earthiness. Grass and vegetal thickness on the tongue with a fragrant meadow wetness. Only a quiet hint of butterscotch sugars, achieving a favorable, floral hop forward balance. A tint of pungency on the palate, leaving a coating of woody sweetness. The standard. Thanks Andrew! | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 16, 2007 I got this one from the NEPA case split from Steff and Brett. I really dig this brewery now. This IPA is so well balanced between bitter tones, grapefruit tones with a touch of apricots, and a smooth palate which draws my tongue towards sipping this beer more and more. There is a perfume-like sticky malt quality underlying the bitter elements. Its a bit cloying but the rest of this beer is enjoyable. theFritz469 (16), Brunswick, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 16, 2007 In bottle. Much more suttle bitterness than most IPA’s. I hope when i’m as old as the guys on the label I can still enjoy great beer. A very nice, smooth beer enjoyed on an even nicer summer day. Schultsc (483), Henderson, Nevada, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jul 12, 2007 Medium orange-gold with medium-dense buff head and a good amount of carbonation. Crisp, light fruity hop notes of green apple and grapefruit in the aroma. Flavor is lightly malty with a bit of apricot fruitiness leads into a broad hops bitterness and a long bitter finish. Well balanced light body that just the right amount of malt in the mouthfeel. Nephilium (557), Ohio, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 11, 2007 Strong pine and citrus nose, pours a dark cloudy amber with almost no head. This beer starts with a bit of sweet malt before the bitter hops run across your tongue, and set up small camps. Extraordinarily long bitter finish, and I really wish this was distributed to my neck of the woods. Quevillon (1535), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada

Arome d’houblon mi-amère, quelque notes de pêches intéressant. Goût d’houblon bien amère, avec une finission sucré de caramel doux et de pêche.
