OldRaspy (266), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Aug 29, 2008 On tap at the brewery. A nice golden color with an off-white head. Aroma was citrus hops and sweet malts. Flavor started with a light malt then the hops kick in doubleipa (219), Georgia, USA Aug 29, 2008 Had this on tap at the Harrisburg Brewfest. Fully diminished white head. Aroma was bitter with spruce and pine resin with some citrus/grapefruit. Didn’t taste much of the Siimcoe of which I’m a hug fan. Color was deep gold. Bitterness lasts through the entirety. Capa (737), Yokosuka, Japan Aug 27, 2008 Golden amber with light haze. Crisp hops, grass, light orange, and some malt in the aroma. Very grassy/pine/herbal hops in the flavor. Some lemon and orange as well. Very tasty. Medium bodied. Quality IPA with strong herbal notes. Ibrew2or3 (1685), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Aug 25, 2008 Courtesy of GMCC2181. 12oz bottle pours deep gold with copper hues and thin white head. The aroma is grapefruit juice, a bit of spice and floral hops to go along with an under current of sweet malts. The taste is up front grapefruit hop flavor and orange peel then quickly moving into solid grapefruit hop bitterness. The malts are only just noticeable from time to time. It ends with no nonsense grapefruit hop bitterness hanging on deep into the after taste. Merrill (21), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 25, 2008 Cloudy yellow, cold from a bottle picked up at Beach Liqours in Bethany Beach De. Wow. Orange zest candy and hop flower in the aroma which is very pronounced. Flavor is very hoppy with a very strong back bitter. Some nearly obscured malt warmth, but most of the brilliant flavor is hops.If you love hops, you’ll be glad to try this.
