Golden color with a nice pillowy head. Aroma has a nice crisp citrus essence mixed with freshly-baked bread. Flavor has a bit of tart citra-sweetness with some pleasant bready malts, fresh honey, and enough hops to remind you that this aint no weak ass lager. Nice brew - really makes you think of a warm spring day. Cletus (5052), Connecticut, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 28, 2007 Pours copper with a nice white sustained head. Smells of biscuits, citrus, lemons, a nice caramelly malty backdrop and some rosey hints. Tastes of caramel, mellow malt, light peppery splashes, hints of citrus, some earthiness and honey. Mouthfeel is sugary with a light hoppy finish. This is an excellent interpretation of the style. nimbleprop (844), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 27, 2007 Poured a crisp golden color with a foamy, lacing white head. Aroma is all spice and yeast with very little noticeable hop. Flavor is more of the same, spicy/herby with a distinct European yeast flavor. Light malt, slight bitterness from the hops. Finish is nice, slightly thick tipping off the heavier alcohol. I don’t love the style, but they really got what they were going for which is respectable. sliffy (1966), Columbus, Ohio, USA
