Commercial Description:
Maibocks are a traditional Teutonic seasonal specialty. We brew ours to be hugely malty and subtly finished with a variety of continental hops, with an eye-pleasing russet brown color.

Tap. Pours a clear orangey amber with a slight, quickly disappearing head. Nose is malty and clean with fruit. Flavor is macerated fruit with a slight hop hit, but ever so slight. This is pretty much a sweet fruited malt attack. Easy to drink and well balanced. Nice session brew.

hazy golden pour, off white, healthy head. malt assault in the nose, spicy. sweet malts, faint hops noticeable and appropriate. alcohol is present but not unpleasant, very warming. Flavors of sweet candy malt and burnt sugars, some dough. finish is warming and sticky..MMm its spring time and smuttynose is there to welcome it in.

sampled at ehe VT brewers fest. Clear dark honey color with small off white head. Pit fruit aroma, plums & raisins. Mmm, quite good, mellow start leading to a decent alcohol burn in the middle. Finish is sweet, yet bitter. Decent.

A great chewy, fruity flavor- like a hafe mixed with mango and passion fruit juices. Well not really, but tit’s in there somewhere. This is great fun, very pleasing and will make you not want to share the bomber with anyone else.Flavor disspates quickly, tho. Bottle at Brother Tucker’s in Pompano, Florida

courtesy of oteyj. nice bubbly head, great lacing. beer is a hazy amber coloration. aroma of orange peel, spice, and yeast. flavor is complex- starts very smooth, then an intense flavor of sweet molasses and a hoppy finish. mouthfeel is nice, my first heller bock and I liked it a lot, really nice beer.

Great thick and hearty beer. Very pale tasting heller bock. The malts were very subdued by the hops, but it was a welcomed unbalanced because the hops were very citrusy, almost like a well done IPA with much more maltyness. Beautiful orange color with orange head.

Cold 22oz bottle: Pours an egg yolk orange color with minimal alabaster bubbles around edges. Aroma is of light, sweet grains and cherries with earth notes. Taste: starts and ends malty sweet with a crescendo of earthy bitterness that remains predominant throughout. Crisp and effervescent. Somewhat soapy aftertaste with some alcohol burn.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, medium orange color with a thick beige head. Tons of lacing. Earthy aroma with caramel malt and yeast notes. Flavor has a nice mixture of spices to go with the malt and yeast tastes. Pleasant and long lasting aftertaste. Slight hop bitterness in the finish.
