Commercial Description:
Maibocks are a traditional Teutonic seasonal specialty. We brew ours to be hugely malty and subtly finished with a variety of continental hops, with an eye-pleasing russet brown color.

Draft at VT Brewers Fest - Dark amber in color with a thin off white head. Aroma is of malt/caramel with some fruitiness. Flavor is slightly sweet and quite malty with a pleasant caramel/toffee underpinning. Alcohol is apparent only in the finish. Great mouth feel. Excellent.

22oz bottle, 2008 vintage. fresh bottle sampled. pours hazy golden with foamy white head. aroma is leathery, hint of citrus and biscuity. leathery hop flavors coating the tongue while a good dose of bitterness balances the biscuity clean malt profile. medium sticky body makes this not as sessionable as i’d want but this is a great maibock.

Hazy bronze, large head with good lacing and retention. Aroma is huge bread and caramel. Hops are there but play a minor role. Medium bodied with a velvety mouthfeel, fairly sweet. Liquid bread.

Tap. Pours a clear orangey amber with a slight, quickly disappearing head. Nose is malty and clean with fruit. Flavor is macerated fruit with a slight hop hit, but ever so slight. This is pretty much a sweet fruited malt attack. Easy to drink and well balanced. Nice session brew.

Very nice brew! Mild aroma. Good fine head with lots of lace. The color is a golden yellow despite the commercial description. Mouth pleasing body. Just enough hops and carbonation to offset the sweetness. Great finish. Easy session beer. Having thls at Bodega Brew Pub downtown La Crosse where it was just put on draft.

22 oz bottle. Pours a coppery orange color with a small off white head. Nose is light caramel with some apricot and peach type flavors. Palate is the standard smutty thickness with a nice clean velvety feeling. Flavors are apricot and peach and some light caramel and some sugary sweetness.

Clear pale body with small white head. The aroma is herbal, bread, honey, apple and peach. The flavor is slightly sweet, honey, apple juice and herbal. Medium body is round with soft carbonation and a slightly warm finish.

2008 Flour City Brew Fest. Amber pour with a huge white head, big malt aroma. Malty flavor with a proper amount of hops to balance it out, almost dry finish. A little thin on the mouth feel, but other wise great.
