Aroma is light malt-some caramel, grain. Taste is light/medium malt-caramel/honey, grain, fruit, secondary/faint hops bite and alcohol. Finishes with earthy/spicy/flat hops. Right on style. Medium body. OK carbonation. weeare138 (936), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA

Smell is of mildly sweet doughy, honey biscuit malt.
Taste is of the sweet aromas with a bit of apple and a bit of a citrus and vegatal taste coming through that wasn’t overly appealing.
Mouthfeel was crisp, warming, and sweet with a lip smacking sugary syrup feel.

The nose is malty heavy and slightly resinous with hints of toast, toffee, cherries, and just a pinch of sharp hops. Mouthfeel is moderately dense and pleasingly coating. I find a few similarities here to a barleywine. Something about the sweet, brown sugar flavor and vinous qualities. . .Modest suggestions at a German lager are made and intertwine oddly well with the fruity, dense malt character. Very, very nice interpretation of this style. Radek Kliber (3986), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

Appearance: clear amber lager with large, frisky, creamy-white top.3+
Aroma: sweet, fruity, berry like with slight peppery hop side.
Flavour/Palate: full bodied, slightly oily in texture. You will be welcomed by alcohol warmth right from first sip. Thick, malty body supports well its formula. Malt it self is candy sweet but with out crossing cloying point. Good bock.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2007 Dark golden color, plenty carbonated, thick white head. Mild sugar candy and dough aroma. Somewhat sweet and sticky palate, a bit of alcohol flavor and bite at the back of the throat. A negative to me. Not bad but lacks the complexity of some of the German offerings. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 14, 2007 Bottle courtesy of Sammy: Poured a cloudy deep beige/orangey color ale with a huge foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of semi-sweet malt is dominant. Taste is a mix between some dry malt with some light sweetness and some light nutty notes. Body is full with some limited filtration with great carbonation. There was a dryness in this beer that I didn’t particularly enjoyed but otherwise it was a fine example of the style. GonZoBeeR (2163), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada
