Pretty ok hoppy taste. Nothing hugely amazing about this one. I'd rather have the Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale over this one any day. TogBean (47), Belchertown, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 4, 2003 I was hopeful with this one. I was in the mood for the holidays and thought this would be a nice start. I was wrong. It started great, red/amber in color, a good head that left behind a nice lacing. Fruity/spicey aroma with mild hops and a hint of malt but that's where the good ends. There wasn't much flavor at all and it had a bitter/unpleasant aftertaste. This one didn't live up to the hype. jgb9348 (2511), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 3, 2003 Ruby tinted amber colour with a perfectly dense light tan head. Aroma of pumpkin, malt, caramel and a light nutmeg. Medium-bodied; Sweet flavour mixed with plentiful malt and some spices. Aftertaste full of sweetness-caramel, caster sugar and a bit of natural sugars from raisins, etc. Overall, a pretty good beer and a pleasant twist on the style. I bought this 65 cL bottle from Norm's in Vienna, Virginia and sampled it on 19-November-2003. argo0 (6960), Washington DC, USA

Nice east coast treat. boto (1339), Granby, Connecticut, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 11, 2003 2003 Big Bottle: The beer pours a slightly orangish-amber color. It is crystal clear. There is a decent off-white head, but it dissapates very quickly. There is very little lacing. The taste is malty sweet with a fairly decent hop bite also. Medium bodied. Hint of caramel to the nose. A very good efort! jeffin7 (610), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA
