| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 3, 2009 12 oz. Pours a clear deep red with a thin, tan head that has little retention and no lacing. Aroma is rich with toffee, caramel malt, hazelnuts, brown sugar, some smokiness. Taste is a bit sour, raw grain, oatmeal. Light to medium bodied. Not bad. georgekillian (236), USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 30, 2009 A: Poured with a large, off-white head that diminished to about 1/2-finger or so, and left some pretty good lacing on the glass. Body is light brown and quite hazy.
S: Aroma is of average malt, with a sweet breadiness and caramel flavor pushing through. Light hops are present as well.
T: Nice, sweet flavor without being sickening. The malt is there, but it’s not in your face or anything. Bit of hoppy bitterness to the finish. Overall, very smooth and nicely balanced.
M: Light-bodied and creamy, with soft carbonation.
D: Very safe and inoffensive, it would be easy to put back several of these beers some evening. Another winner from Smuttynose. Jow (28), New York, USA

Minimal head, hazy copper amber color. Taste is a blend of hops and malt with heavy sour notes in it. I ate this with a fresh burger and it paired great. Overall good beer. nittanytide (45), Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 25, 2009 From the tap. Poured an amber brown. Bready malt taste dominated, but more hoppiness than usual for the style, as promised. Filling. chickenflea (30), Oviedo, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 22, 2009 12-oz bottle. Pours golden brown with some haziness. Full head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is doughy with some wet leather notes. Medium sweetness, with some sour edges. Medium body, mouth feel on the thin side, soft. An easy drinking beer that goes better with bready foods that offset the sour finish.
