Mar 1, 2007 Dark brown with a nice tan head that leaves excellent lacing. Nutty, sweet malt aroma. More of the same in the flavor with a nice rounded mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Not my favorite style, but this was pretty enjoyable.

Feb 25, 2007 12 oz Bottle-Poured a dark brown color w/a moderate, tan, foamy, head. Sweet, roasted, nutty aroma. Sweet, nutty, roasted malt flavor, kind of a standard Brown Ale. Nothing wrong with it, nothing spectacular. I’d drink it, but I wouldn’t seek it out.

Feb 24, 2007 Brown. Slight nutty aroma. Clean, nutty taste. All Smuttynose seem to have a similar taste but suited to the style. A solid brown but not special.

Feb 20, 2007 Clear red, offwhite bubbles. Subtle caramel malt aroma. More flavor, with coffee, malt, and hops. A bit thin and not much alcohol, slight bitter finish.
