| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 14, 2007 Pours a clear reddish brown with a half inch head that quickly fades to a spotty cap and ring with decent lacing.
Smell; lots of caramel malts and nuts, with hints of some bitter chocolate. There’s a bit of some floral hops, not much but they’re there.
Taste; sweet at first, with caramel malts and touches of chocolate. The slightly bitter roasted nuts follow, along with a mild hop bite. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and very drinkable, as a brown ale should be. KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 11, 2007 Brown pour with light head. Aroma was light & malty with a tad of sweetness. Taste is classic brown ale - medium body, smooth finish. I liked it, but it just doesn’t stand out. johnykat (65), Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 9, 2007 Just an ok beer for me. The beer is dark brown/amber. Smell is actually not that inviting. The taste was a bit better than the smell, but nothing out of the ordinary. I was hoping for something that set this beer apart, but did not find much. It also had a strange metallic taste, which may be an old or bad bottle. That has to be considered.
