| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2005 Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & tupalev -- courtesy of tupalev. Pours a clear amber-gold with a small diminishing white head. Mild aroma of mild hops, spices, caramel malt and fruit. Flavour of malt, grain, hops and nuts. It doesn’t taste much like a Vienna but considering I don’t much care for Lagers --and I like this! -- I have to say kudos to Smuttynose for this Lager, I actually like it. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 19, 2005 Bottle shared with blankboy, tupalev & HogTownHarry - courtesy of tupalev. Amber-gold with a small head. Aroma is fairly sweet, with some light hops. Flavour is nicely balanced, with a bit of toastiness in the background that I really liked. Finish is fairly dry with some lingering hops. I wouldn’t call it a Vienna personally, but it’s a decent enough lager. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Slight hops in light aroma. Decent lightly hopped taste. Light mouthfeel. Lingering bitterness, light malt throughout. Decent beer for sure, but just don’t see it as a Vienna.
