| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2004 This poured out a hazy golden orange color with a tall off white rocky head that drops to big foam chunks swimming a top the beer. Decent lace is left as well. Very malty nose with a doughy scent as well as notes of toasted grain and grassy earthy hops. There are also hints of citric hops as well mingling about, very good aroma for a lager. Taste is fairly similar with a big bready malt flavor and a good amount of hops in there to even it out and provide a nice bitter finish. Very clean and delicious taste. Mouthfeel was about what is to be expected, medium with good carbonation. These are definitely easy drinking beers that are clean, crisp and refreshing while providing a great taste. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 11, 2004 Pours deep apple juice/amber with a sudsy white head that quickly disipates. Nose is apple and spiced pie, crisp hops and musty yeast. Very light and sprizy for something that looks this heavy. Cotton candy, vanilla, candied apples. Calvados malty alcohol. Definate pineapple. Clean and fresh. Crisp bitter finish. Very tastey. Loddeer (171), USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 4, 2004 Decent lager, not very complex, but instead crisp and light. Could probably drink several of these in one sitting, balanced and does not provide the bitter zing that can turn me off from some lagers. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 8, 2004 Deep amber color, slight haze, creamy sticky off white head.
Malty, yeasty, clean aroma.
Smooth, medium bodied, very well balanced. The malt really carries this one. Easy drinking beer. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 30, 2004 Bottle pours a clear vibrant orange, small white pancake batter like head, strong carbonation, with fairly attractive carbonation. Sweet grass, straw, and malts on the nose. Sweet maltiness on first sip, a tad salty too. A light sourness builds as time goes on. Fairly good body and mouthfeel, albeit a bit overcarbonated. Finishes with some hop bitterness, and again with malts that are slightly salty. Not bad, but Great Lakes Eliot Ness is still my favorite Vienna. Thanks goes out to slob for the trade!

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 30, 2004 This beer is too malty. It reminds me of when a restaurant’s soda fountain is not dispensing enough soda water and you end up drinking a cup of syrup. It is still ok, though. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 14, 2004 Appearance: clear, amber color, with a short, fizzy head.
Aroma: soft, mellow, sweet, and even a tiny bit fruity.
Nice and even, good malt, light to medium in body, short finish, but still tasty.
Hops are light, malt is thick, and the taste? Just right.
A really smooth, tasty, easy-going lager.
