This is certainly the lightest vienna I have seen. A dullish straw-yellow color, light haziness to it with a small white head. Quite bubbly and has a pleasantly sweet scent of pilsener malt, honey and soft easygoing hops. Flavor is herbal-like and lightly grassy right away but then the carbonation kicks in softly and you get a big dose of sweet honey tasting malt. Finish does not let up on flavor; this dosent water out and die. Good solid drink, it’s nice to see a fuller bodied lager. Up there with Yuengling for my favorite domestic lager (though the two are quite different). PBOYNY (316), Westchester, New York, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 5, 2004 Draft. Light copper color, OK head that fades. Little aroma. Flavor is a refreshing blast of spicy hops, surprising for the lack of aroma. Touch of a floral note as well, bitter finish. Just enough malt to hold it all together. sloth (1684), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 26, 2004 Medium sized white/tan head, great retention and plenty of lace. Hazy, light copper color. Light malt nose with a pleasent hop spiceyness. Light/medium body. Hops dominate the flavor profile with enough malt in the background to balance things out. Finish is dry and spicey with a good hop bite. Quaffable. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 9, 2004 Cooked cabbage and some sweet sugar in the aroma. Deep brown-gold with off-white large bubbled soapy head that recedes to cover. Better tasting than it smells. Mild malt, fair bitterness. Short flavour profile. Fairly thin body. Bottle (sampled at Mondial 2004). jerc (3954), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 7, 2004 Amber colour. Hops are the dominant note in the aroma but not a lot of them. Some esters as well. Flavour is pretty average. Its a decent lager that just isn’t pushing the right buttons for me to get excited about it right now. Mondial 3T.
