Bottle. Noble hop nose, golden body, small white head. Not terribly malty, fairly clean for a US lager. Nothing very special here.

Bottled, BB 04/08. Poured clear, orangey-golden with a short, sticky cap of white head. The aroma picked up soft bready notes and caramel primarily with some wet grainy and and grassy accents. The flavor had a mostly bready base with a little toffee and honey sweetness down there.. light grassy and grainy bitterness on the sides with a hint of cardboard.. finished with dry, grainy caramel and honey sweetness. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation.. dry overall and spicier on the back.. not bad, but very average in all facets of the drink.

Draft in manchester, nh. Decent beer with good feel and texture, slightly hoppy but lacking in ending flavor.

not a bad one, does have a nice texture, has a bit of a sweet hop flavor initially that turns a bit dry in the aftertaste.

Received from Beer of the Month Club: Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a slightly cloudy, golden brown body, topped with a medium head of off-white foam, which mostly diminished. Aroma is slightly nutty with malt thrown in. Initially bitter with a light, dry mouthfeel, this lager has moderate hopping, which overtakes the sweetness of the malt. Bitter hops aftertaste lingered for quite sometime. This is a slightly better than average beer that played a bit of a switcheroo with my palate. I was expecting a bit more malty sweetness and was given a dry, balanced hop experience.

Deep golden color......fluffy head. Malty aroma. Light malt flavor up front......slightly crisp mouthfeel. Balanced hop back, with a lasting bitter finish.

Draft at the Portsmouth Brewery - Poured a golden amber in color with a small whitish head that faded quickly. Aroma was malty with hints of fruit and flowery hops. Flavor was malty and slightly sweet with a very small amount of hops. Somewhat disappointing for such a god brewer...

Clear dark gold with a thin head. Fruity, floral, malty aroma. Sweet malty flavor with a hint of spicy hops. Excellent body for the alcohol. One of the best US versions of the style I’ve had and under rated IMO.
