| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 1, 2009 I’ve clearly been spoiled by drinking this year’s batch of delicious offerings by Elysian, Dogfish and Southern Tier. This was musty by comparison, and had way too much of a clove finish. Seemed like it was relying on the spice to give a pumpkin allusion.

I was not very impressed with this beer madmitch76 (619), , Essex, England

Pleasant fruity and sharp start but then extreme mouc drying spicy finish. The finish really lets this beer down. Hard work. Pawola22 (724), Kansas City, Missouri, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 21, 2009 On tap at the CBS Scene at Patriot Place in Foxboro, MA. Pours a clear amber colored body with a finger-width, off-white, creamy head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is a moderately sweet pumpkin pie with a light spicing. Mostly cinnamon and nutmeg. Flavor was the same. Light pumpin pie spicing and a moderately sweet caramel, pumpkin pie taste. A slight bready character with a little more spicing at the end. Light bodied and crisp with a short aftertaste. Overall, a decent pumpkin. Nothing terrible, but rather unexceptional. Eh.. 17thfloor (1479), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 19, 2009 12oz bottle from Discount Liquors in Milwaukee. Pours a hazy glowing orange with a frothy white head. Aroma is spicy and weed-like, some pumpkin maltiness but mostly skunky spicy hops, not unpleasant though. Flavor is dry, seemingly metallic funky maybe some brett, has a weird gueuze-like flavor, seemingly like horse blanket haha, its a pumpkin gueuze and it’s not terrible, lightly spiced, light malt profile, super dry as if infected, lots of nutmeg, bitter. Medium/light bodied, abundant airy fluffy but corse carbonation congruent with some sort of infection but it’s really not detracting at all. Weird metallic quick finish. Haha... pumpkin gueuze, very bitter. madvike (325), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Bottle - Nice copper pour with a decent white head. Aroma is baking spices: nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves. There’s a smell that alternates between Kool-whip and soap. Just a bit of pie crust. Taste is spicy and yeasty, with lots of dry, almost astringent hops on the finish. Leaves a soapy aftertaste. Way too spicy and dry for me, and the soap flavor really throws me. Not a fan. twindog (87), Hampstead, Maryland, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Nov 11, 2009 This was just a ok beer for me not to much going on. Out of all the pumpkin ales that i had this is one of the one’s on the bottom for me. Would not kick it out of bed but not one of the good one’s. glennmastrange (855), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 7, 2009 Bottle. Light to moderate malt aroma of cereal, light flowers for the hops and background notes of wood, nutmeg and cooked pumpkin. Head is small, creamy, off-white with a little lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is slightly hazy yet sparkling amber/orange. Flavor is lightly sweet and moderately acidic to start, then finishes lightly to moderately acidic and bitter. Palate is medium, watery with a lively carbonation and a lightly dry and a touch boozy finish. Not a big fan of the style, but this one was pretty good. SSSteve (2064), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
