On tap at Bacchus. Pours a deep dark cola black with a hefty creamy dark tan head. Roast, vanilla, caramel, nice sweetness. A touch on the thin side of medium bodied, light astringency, bitter roast and light baking chocolate. Finishes with a lot of roast bitterness, and some slow lingering char notes.

Draft at Mellow Mushroom - Brandon. Poured a blsck color with an aqverage fizzy light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt and chocolate aroma. Medium body with a smooth slick texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted chocolate sweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid complex brew.

Black beer with a small white head and only few carbonation. Coffee like aroma with some malty roasted touches. Full creamy palate. Finish is bitter though rather soft ending.

12oz bottle. Well done porter. Pours very dark with a slight head that lingers. Good combination of malt, coffee and chocolate tastes.

Tap @ brasserie420 Compact foam that seems pulled with nitrogen but isn’t! A bit yeasty but one of the first pints of a new just-agitated keg. So i’m sure it’ll clarify with time. The foam is surely long lasting. Tipical creamy, roasted robust porter nose with a scent of black olives. On the palate licorice and earthy notes with a well established burnt and resiny bitter. Black olives as well. A bit of CSA as the Smuttynose IPA tasted earlier, but still not too strong to bother. Nice silky body, tapped well with the right amount of co2. Overall an easy drinking balanced beer.

Tap at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Black coloured, medium sized brown head, roasted coffee in the nose. Roasted malt, coffee and chocolate with notes of dried fruits and hops. Smooth, mild carbonation and bitter finish. Not so Robust but still good porter.
