Jul 29, 2008 It pours a dark nut brown color with a thin head that fades rather quick. The nose is very bitter with an intense coffee smell. You can really smell the roasted nuts and grains that were used in the brewing process. The flavors is nice and roasty with hints of chocolate malt mixed with just the right amount of coffee. I like how bitter it is and the nice bitter sweet after taste it leaves on the palate. The finish is full of roasted malt and coffee.

Jul 13, 2008 Bottle from Janie 08’. Black with nice beige head. An all around well balanced and crafted porter that falls right down the stylistic requirements. If you picture a porter profile in your mind you are thinking of this beer.

Jul 8, 2008 Bottle courtesy of hellbilly. Pours an opaque black with one finger tan head. Nose is Chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Taste is coffee grinds, smoke, toasted malts and dark, bitter chocolate with a sour, hoppy finish. Light to medium mouth feel. Very good porter – thanks Joshua!

Jul 2, 2008 Heavy chocolate and coffee aromas on pour with a nice brown foamy head an a black, black body. A smooth porter with little disturbance on the way down the way a good one should be. Sits very nice on the palate with just the slightest of all bitterness. Me like.

Jun 29, 2008 Bottle. It pours an almost black body with a tan head. Pretty close to a fiver on appearance. Chocolate, some coffee, vanilla and a little fruityness in the aroma. Chocolate, roasted and burnt flavors and some vanilla in the mouth, leading to a long, dry finish with chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. Dry and dusty-feeling in the mouth. A beauty. (080509)
