1st Porter, and I can say this might be the last...Several hrs later I’m changing my analysis. It’s not the style for me, xxx OK!!! This is an unbelievable beer exp. It’s truly all those things I said, at least at first, Later it’s unbelievable. I can’t stop drinking it.. Even with that said it was technically sound, xxx I’t f*ckin’ righteous. The aroma is very complex, with hints of coffee, malt, and wine scents. It’s appearance is gorgeous. It’s dark as burnt sugar. It’s flavor is mega complex, with notes of chocolate, coffee, malt, and fruit charachters. The only part that makes this not a grandslam is it’s hoppy quality, hours later it’s not noticable, I could drink this to it disappears, or until my blood stops moving. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, but if you are like me who is a bit turned off by bitter it may turn you off, but not if you get a chance to really warm up to it.

Thick solid black pour with a brown head. Rich chocolate and roast aroma with plum, leather and smoke. Vinous, slightly sour, acrid malt flavor, burnt with some hops. Full palate. Flavorful, lingering finish. Nice.

This beer is toasty at the very start. The flavor has a burnt wood flavor with many other standard flavors in the port categories. The malts are nice and the hops are secondary but this is a great beer to have. 6/22/08- 2nd try, still has is character yet the its a bit fizzy and still smokey.

The aroma is toasty, with a sweet smoky element, earth, and cola. The appearance is dark brown with a tan head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is smooth and oily. Overall this is disappointing but not bad.

Dark brown pour. Lots of malt and coffee hints. Somewhat thick body, with a real nice finish. Excellent porter imo!

July 2006 - A good beer. Nice head, nice lacing, nice aroma. Flavor was dark roast, some lactic flavor and a twang of citrus bitterness. Smooth silk mouthfeel. Nice.

12 oz. bottle at Akkurat, Stockholm. Black with small tan head. Malty and roasty aroma with coffee, leather, chocolate and black currant. Sweetish rich malty and roasty flavor with coffee, bitter chocolate and dark fruits. Strongly roasty yet soft and balaced, excellent!
