Pours dark brown with a hint of lacing in the form of tan bubbles. Smells of chocolate, pepper, some coffee. Tastes of chocolate and roasted malt with some underlying bitterness. Okay, but where are the dark fruit hints that are supposed to be common to this style?

Black color with tan head. Roasted chocolate aroma and flavor with some coffee bean and dark fruit (cherry?) hint. Dry but certainly not hoppy. Medium to thin body.

Very crisp finish. Black brown with white creamy head. Much carbonation with smoothness. Good all around porter.

Cask @ GBBF ’07. Pours black with decent sized head. Chocolate / smokey / coffee aroma. Roast / coffee flavour on the palate with bitter malty finish.

Pours pitch black with a nice sized tan head. Nose is dusty chocolate. Beautiful. Flavor is smooth and hearty and never waivers. Nice even malt characters with a smokey, dirty edge. Feel is great. Nice and appropriate leel of bubble on the tongue. Thicker liquid feel. Definitely drinkable. A good example of the style.

Pours very smoothly with a small darker head, similar to a whole grain bread. Has a bitter edge toward the middle-front of the tongue. Tastes of roasted coffee with a hint of dark chocolate. Overall, a very nice porter.

Black black beer with nice looking tan head. The smell is of coffee which extends to the taste as well. I really this beer.
