12oz bottle from MrBendo. Aroma: Nice roast upfront with some chocolate, coffee, nuts, and some sweet creaminess. A good dose of hops with a good pine nose. Appearance: Very dark brown in color. Light tan head was full and foamy with great retention. Great lacing. Flavor: Roasty malt up front with some graham cracker, nuts, coffee, and chocolate. Creamy sweetness intensifies at it warms. Some pine and light citrus hops into the finish. Hoppiness carries over into the bitterness, as well. Palate: Medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Overall: Great robust porter. Nice balance of malt and hops that allows both to shine through. Would drink a ton of this if I could.

12 oz Bottle: Pours a deep color, almost black with a light brown consistent head. Very aromatic Porter. Great quality roasty malts with tons of chocolate & coffee. There’s also a surprisingly hoppy character in the background. Body is extremely smooth with a creamy texture. Nice roasty malts give off a Bosco Chocolate Sauce flavor. The nice hop character to this Porter balances the malt nicely. It also gives it a subtle fruity note of orange peel. There’s also walnut hints. The finish is a nice balance of roasted espresso beans and hop bitterness. This is a great hoppy Porter.

very good for the style. a lot of interesting things going on here. chocolate, french roast...with smoke? pours real good in the 16 oz titan glass. not particularly my thing. nice seperation of malt and hop. cool march and october sipper . that thinness makes this a really artsy brew.

12oz - thanks beastiefan2k - This one had the honor of being the brew I fell asleep with after the Hotshotz tasting. Aroma is roasty chocolate malt, cream and hops. Pours black with a big foamy head and great lacing. Flavor matches aroma. Palate is a little thin but otherwise quite good. Not a bad tasting porter I regret not giving a fair shake to.

12 oz bottle from the variety pack. Nice thick brown head, an aroma that leaps right up at you . Roasted chocolate taste, a little on the gritty side. This is a porter for serious porter drinkers, not the SA Holiday Porter or Saranac Carmel Porter crowd. More hoppy bitterness than one would expect in a porter.

12 oz bottle traded with drewbeerme. Pours black with a tall fluffy tan head that collapses with a thick forest of lacing. Chocolate roast aromas, well of course, maybe a little nutty but that’s about it. The flavor is initially sweet but quickly turns into dark chocolate and bitter roasted coffee that lingers for a long while. Pretty tasty porter.

Great stuff. Pours very dark with an amazingly thick head. Aroma is super roasty and sweet. Flavor somewhat lactic, but then dominates with roasted bitterness and sweetness.

12oz bottle, notched @ M for March from 46er3498, thank you Tom! Near as I can tell this brew is black with a 1/2 finger slowly fading brown head. Aroma is charred wood, roasted malts, some milk chocolate, and some light piney hops. I typed up the flavor and realized it was exactly the same in the exact same amounts--not ungodly complex, but really good. Semidry roasty finish. Medium body with moderate to high carbonation. Very good brew.
