Pours an opaque dark brown color with a large creamy brown head. Fantastic lacing. Rich roasted coffee aroma along with hints of dark chocolate. Incredibly mouth-watering. Absolutely delicious. Creamy chocolate flavors on top of a bitter dark roast coffee taste. Incredibly smooth and creamy mouthfeel. A truly elite porter.

Thanks to Walt for this. Now I really like their brews and this is no exception to the rule.Hearty smokey coffee flavor with some roasty bitterness on the tongue.

Rich mahogany under a thick light brown head with good lacing. Lots of coffee and chocolate on the nose. Very nice balance of roasted malt, caramel, coffee and bittersweet chocolate with a pleasant and aggressive - for a porter - hop presence. Moderately creamy mouthfeel with just the right amount of carbonation and a flavorful, crisp finish. This porter reminded me of Avery’s New World Porter but with a somewhat more restrained hop profile. Nice brew.

Sampled from 12 fl oz bottle courtesy of Marsiblursi. Very dark brown color, beige-brown head. Chocolate sweet and raissin scent. Dry mouthfeel with initial "too strong instant coffee" taste. Sweet turning to dark chocolate aftertaste. A bit thin body.

[Bottled] Almost black colour. Brown head. A sharp licorice aroma is tucked in a tone of dark chocolate. Very robust. Thin-ish mouthfeel. Initially there is instant coffee in flavour, then all leads to a yummy dry cocoa ending. Not all complex but very tasty.

Really fantastic porter, it’s a brew that is complex in it’s taste and easy to drink. Excellent smell of malt, caramel and chocolate. Nice smooth finish and a wonderful beer to drink, even when it’s not cool outside.
