Bottle from SuIIy! pours a deep brown with a nice big foamy head. aroma is bitter chocolate, espresso, some roasted malts. exceptionally smooth with a dry finish. medium body. one of the best stouts/porters I’ve had that were under 6% abv. I liked this a lot. could drink this all day.

Sample at Mr. Dunderbak’s. Nice robust flavor. Balance of malt, chocolate, coffee, and maybe even some toffee. Rich and dark.

Near-black pour with a frothy tan head. Aroma is of roasted malts and milk chocolate. Full bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is dark, roasted malts, coffee, chocolate... a recipe for bitterness but this one is smooth. Lingering milky chalikiness, lactose?, bit of citrus/orange hoppage towards the finish. Solid and tasty but I’m surprised it’s rated so high with so little complexity.

[Draft @ EB+B] Poured an opaque black color with a small, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, some smoked wood, nuts, and dark fruits. Taste of dark fruits, raisins, roasted malt, bitter dark chocolate, smoke, and a dry, coffee finish.

Very nice! Pours black with a decent light-brown head. Nice smoky aroma. Flavor is roasty, roasty, roasty! Appearance is beautiful with lotsa lacing, looks like tree rings on my glass. While not as thick & heavy as an Impy Stout, it is a bit heavy for a porter. Very glad to finally give this one a shot & will certainly buy again!
