Smuttynose Schmutzig Hopfen Weisse

Draft. Pours a hazy golden body with an off white head. The aroma is hoppy; floral with some light earth y tones. Spruce and a grapefruit like pine and wheat lemon grass flavor. Nice brew.

tap @ Coles Buffalo NY> Pours a slightly hazed deep golden with little head. Tripel like sweet malt aroma. Taste is sweet malts, candi floralness, some bitterness. Not too many hefe qualties here. Nevertheless, a tasty beer

Appearance: hazed amber mid creamy top 4-
Nose: Mild nose , creamy with slight what show.
Flavor/Palate : Very soft with slight fruity character velvety wheat feel on walls. Light hop touches with some fruity bitterness. Finish with hop sitting on top of empty mid.

Poured hazy gold with a finger of white, clingy head. Nose was lemongrassy hops, clovey spice, pale malt. Flavor was hopcitrus, lemony, with some resiny hops, slight florals, and some clovey spice.

On tap at Novare Res Smutty night. Pale hazy yellow tih nice white head. Lemon pastry aroma with banana and bubblegum. Lemony pixie stix sweet with tangy bitter finish. A drinkable example of one of my least favorite styles (hopfen-weisse).

Sampled at ACBF. Wheat with robust fruit aroma. Cloudy golden color with a white head. Slightly sweet and tart beginning that fades in the finish.

[Draft @ EB+B] Poured a murky golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, pine, citrus fruits, clove, and lemon. Taste of toasted malts, lemongrass, citrus fruits, pine, grapefruit, and a bitter finish. Nicer aroma than taste.

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of lemon, soap, hops, lysol, and lemongrass. Poured yellow/gold/flaxen/apple juice in color with a creamy, dense, white head that lasted throughout. Hazy. Sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor was light to medium sweet. Tastes of lemon, soap, and lemongrass. Light body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Lemongrass finish is dry. Where is the wheat? Not a bad beer, but not a very good Hefe.
