Commercial Description:
Copper-colored ale is medium-bodied and highly hopped. Its flavor is delightfully complex: tangy fruit at the start, with an assertive hop crispness and a long malty palate that one well-known beer writer has compared to the flavor of freshly-baked bread.

Cask@GBBF2007.Deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, hops, some alcohol and honey. Also quite wooden notes. Flavour is very much the same.

Cask at GBBF 2007 ... Hazy amber ... Sweet little vinegar and that high hop ... Clawing hop at back of throat ... very bitter ... lots of hops ... some tart citrus spicy linger ... but clawing.

Cask@GBBF07. Sharp grassy nose. Light amber, off-white head, fair lace. Sweet, fruity, grassy, sticky mouthfeel. Nice but nothing to get excited about.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at GBBF. Tea brown colour. Slickly hoppy nose. Way too o.t.t. and grassy flavour. If I wanted to munch grass I’d turn into a cow and move into a field.

Poured from bottle, very drinkable but nothing special. Not very hoppy. Had a bit of tang to it.

Pours straight copper, with a little bit more carbonation than I would typically expect in a high quality beer, but that was ok. Beige colored head that looked pretty nice. Flowery and slightly hoppy aroma. SOme citrusy fruitiness in the taste, but overall we got a smooth beer with some nice hops and malts abounding.

Bottle. Went into this one expecting an American style Pale Ale - nonetheless a nice English Style Pale Ale. Dullish copper color with a lasting, huge, cream colored head. Woody, resinous and crisp with a malty backbone that makes this beer very legitimate. Nice clean, not overly hoppy finish evens this EPA out very well. A very nice Ale. My full rec.

Had this straight from a keg purchased at State Line Liquors in MD. Poured a deep copper brown with a frothy, creamy, slightly tan head. Aroma was malty and fruity, but not too citrus. Flavors were perfectly balanced; sugary and malty but also a tad citrusy and tangy. Finish is clean, with a touch of lasting bitterness. Very drinkable, great session beer.
