Decent head with same lacing. Amber/reddish color. Light-to-medium body with some fizziness. A relatively easy drinking beer with some decent hops to it. I’m not a hop fiend myself, so I think it was about right. HighlanderOne (542), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Poured from bottle. Looks like most other pale ales, cloudy dark amber, rugged head. Hops in aroma, not overpowering tho. Flavor quite nice, hops are delicious, not too grapefruity. Creamy malt feel supports flavor well. Long lasting head with lacing. A fine pale ale. obguthr (1031), Poquoson, Virginia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 7, 2007 Smoke and country ham aroma. Dark copper color with a tan head. Earthy and mossy taste. Grapefruit finish. Not terribly great tasting, but unique in its complexity. emobassfoo (178), Webster, New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 6, 2007 Pours golden with a nice white creamy head. Looks good! Faint, faint aroma. Mainly yeast, malt and bread. Tastes rich, with some hops and a bit of bitterness. Smooth, but a real skunk aftertaste; reminiscent of Heineken or equal. Makes me think of an upscale macro. Real good on the first sip, then subsequent sips either A) didn’t taste good or B) tasted bad or C) all of the above. Other Smuttynose selections were tastier. RiverHorse (454), New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 28, 2007 Pours a cloudy light amber color with a thin, small head. The lacing produced thin ringlets down the pint glass. The scent wasn’t dominating, but did produce some notes of citurs and hops. The mouthfeel was a little on the thin side as the hops and malt balanced eachother nicely. An average beer, not bad to have a sixer around in an emergency. Dansting (222), Overland Park, Kansas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 27, 2007 Bottle. Poured a cloudy orange-brown color with a thick off-white head. Lots and lots of lacing. Very pleasant aroma with a nice citrus kick. Flavor was bitter and hoppy, but not nearly as good as I thought this would be with its nice aroma. Grapefruit juice aftertaste. Very bitter, but not as flavorful as I would have hoped. Still a very above average pale ale. Mike4686 (120), Bayonne, New Jersey, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 12, 2007 Bottle. Pours a darker, sort of cloudy amber with a limited head. Nose was lightly citrus with some funky/off-smelling notes. Flavor initially was a continuation of that off smelling nose. After the beer warmed, this settled out and dissapated. However, the beer was never anything special, OK at best. Thanks to Wild4mild for the bottle.
