Commercial Description:
Copper-colored ale is medium-bodied and highly hopped. Its flavor is delightfully complex: tangy fruit at the start, with an assertive hop crispness and a long malty palate that one well-known beer writer has compared to the flavor of freshly-baked bread.

Red apple skin. Peppery, spicy hops. Mossy. Toffee. Big malty base. Pretty thick mouthfeel. Some nice flavors, but lacking complexity and depth. Good beer, but Smutty can do even better.

Pint- Poured Goldish’Amber coloring, light to medium bodied, with a citrius/hoppish aroma. I was overall not impressed. It seemed slightly off so I plan on trying it again.

Pours a cloudy amber colour with a fizzy off white medium head. Aroma is citrus hops and mild malts. Taste begins with a citrus hoppy slap finishing with a malts on the palate. I feel the body was lighter than expected. Medium Carbonation. Slight finishing lacing of the glass.

A nice session drinker. Light hop aroma and light hop flavor. Some malt, and a medium palate. Orange in color. It is very drinkable, and quite mild.

Thanks goes to Brewfiend for sharing this one. From a 12-oz bottle (picked up at the Coffee Grounds in Eau Claire, WI), pours a dark coppery amber with a medium off white head. Dissolves fast and leaves behind no film or lacing. Aroma of citrus hops, honey, and biscuits. Flavor is earthy at first and then finishes smooth and creamy.

Amber body, medium off-white head with some lacing, English hops in the nose. Bready, slightly sweet, herbal hoppiness, not bad.

bottle- copper in color, off white head, fairly lacing, smells of malt and english hops, ken goldings perhaps. alcohol detected in taste, some grassyness, but mostly malt with some bitterness in the finish. A nice option for those not in the west coast ales dominating the market, but since I am into those, I won’t pick this up again.
