Commercial Description:
Copper-colored ale is medium-bodied and highly hopped. Its flavor is delightfully complex: tangy fruit at the start, with an assertive hop crispness and a long malty palate that one well-known beer writer has compared to the flavor of freshly-baked bread.

Solid copper coloration and a pillowy white head. Nice aromas are bready and grapefruit. Flavor is a definite bonus on this beer. Lots of malts, a nearly choclaty finish, and a genuine integration of citrus fruit at the front end. Tart and mellow at once. Palate is a wee bit harsh and grainy, a forgivable shortcoming.

Bottle. Pours copper with a medium head. Aromas of caramel and a hint of hoppy bitterness. Flavor is on the bitter side. Initially it is on the malty side with caramel notes but then it gives way to fairly harsh bitterness. I would say that the beer is a bit unbalanced.

(Bottle) Pours a clear amber body with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of caramel, floral, hint of fruit, and cocoa. Clean caramel and mild hops flavor. Descent English Pale Ale.

12 oz bottle, poured into a pint glass. Amber color, small head, strong nose of toasted grain. Biscuit and apricot taste upfront, again, toasted, and a strong dry hoppiness at the back. Medium to high carbonation. I’m not a huge fan of pale ales, but this one was a good example of the style.

bottle-thanks to the_eppest for this one. clear caramel amber with a small off-white fizzy head. big malty nose for a pale-toasted grains, lightly earthy hops (shoveled earth). pretty complex for a low abv beer. earthy, dark fruits and amber malts dominate the flavors with lots of toasted malt flavor. fairly dry earthy hop finish that was very pleasant, drying things out. body is medium with a good carbonation level (slick and somewhat sticky). very nice pale.

12 oz. bottle from BOTMC. Drank on 7/26/06. Bottle conditioned. Slightly cloudy, copper, 1" off-white / light tan head. Rocky. Thick layer of foam sticks around. Nice lacing. Aroma - Some sweet maltiness, some of that chinookish hop aroma - need to figure out how to describe that. Avg. strength. Some citrus / orange mostly. Flavor - Nice mellow pale ale. Decent up front bitterness, well balanced in the middle. Nice malt and hop flavors in the finish - little sweetness, some of that chinook / centennial flavor. Some cascade / orange flavor. Palate - nice medium body, avg. carb. Overall - good APA, not great, but good. Easily drinkable and tasty.

Light, fluffy head leaving behind a coating of bubbles on the surface. Nice bright amber color. Predominantly hoppy flavor, but nicely balanced by maltiness and the flavor of roasted grains. Pretty solid.
