| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 31, 2006 12oz. Bottles: Smells malty and like cookie dough, hay,and hazelnut. Poured copper in color. Sparkling and full of particles. Nice, medium-sized, frothy, off-white head. Medium lacing. Flavor is off. It’s a bit earthy. Very malty. No "tangy fruit" or "hop crispness." A little watery. Lively carbonation. Light body. Medium & thin. Long finish. Not very good, but drinkable. Perhaps a bad bottle? illinismitty (1799), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 31, 2006 Bottle. Pours amber with a nice frothy off white head, spotty lacing. Faint citrus hop aroma. Initial taste of toasty and caramel malt offset by spicy hop bite. Bitter finish is dry with a leafy hop flavor, and some nuttiness. English??? Possibly in the malt profile, but the aggression of the hops seems more american. Not bad, but not as good as many of their other beers. wintersdying (49), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 14, 2006 Bottled. Poured a clear medium caramel with a short cap of off-white head... nice lacing followed it down. English bittering hops are dominant in the nose... with notes of citrus, earth, and a solid dose of caramel backing. Flavor picked up a crusty French-bread and caramel malt backing with bunch of grapefruit and leafy hops all ’round the palate. Lighter-bodied with a sweet and bitter finish. Enjoyed it. da845 (139), new york, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 1, 2006 A very light floralish summer smell. Is a deep orange/amber and is fairly hazy with an average amount of carbination. It has almost no head, except for about a fourth an inch of white foam on top. Has a bitter taste, with an almost fruity sour aftertaste. Feels thick and like a beer that is good to end a summer day with, but could not drink too many at once skibumphishead (180), USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Apr 12, 2006 12oz bottle. Low carbonation, sour (British bitter style?) hops. This is one of the best domestic british style beers that I have had. I love this brewery... I’ve always been a fan of their mix 12 pack and the big beer series... they are all tasty beers from down the road in New Hampshire. Fin (3460), Merton, Oxfordshire, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2006 Bottle in the bar of the Back Bay Hilton Boston where we stopped Dec 05 there is a fantastic range of bottled beers in this hotel bar. A most attractive label I must say. The beer poured a deep golden ok maybe copper colour with a small head. Plenty of hops in the aroma, hops and grapefruit in the flavour dept and a nice refreshing crisp bite to this beer.
