Commercial Description:
Copper-colored ale is medium-bodied and highly hopped. Its flavor is delightfully complex: tangy fruit at the start, with an assertive hop crispness and a long malty palate that one well-known beer writer has compared to the flavor of freshly-baked bread.

Pours dark straw/copper with decent head. Aroma of hops and malt. Tastes malty, hoppy, fruity, with a crisp hop/floral/fruity finish.

Slightly hazed amber body, light frothy light tan head. Light hop and bread aroma. The flavor is quite bready with a nice little bit of a hop bite towards the end. The palate is quite delightful, for a session beer. Not too shabby.

ahhhh - there is nothing better in the world after a 12 hour trip from Germany to NJ than sitting after a quick shower in JoeVees garden in the sun and having a relaxed first beer!!!! Nice chocolate smoked nose. Hoppy with some sweet toffee untertones. Nicely balanced.

An aroma of hops and caramel. A flavor of hops and caramel. A decent pale ale, not more, not less.

Pours dark brown off the tap. The flavor of this beer isn't very assertive. Maybe a hint of caramel in there. Kind of dark and heavy compared to other pale ales I've had. It's different, not to my liking.

Decent head with almost no carbonation. Tart and hoppy aroma. Very hoppy. Slightly floral with a touch of fruit. Color is a dark amber. Good hop flavor along with a bit of roastyness. Almost like burnt toast. Finish is roasty also and leaves a nice bitter aftertaste. A very good pale ale and another very good beer from Smuttynose.

Crystal clear, copper-colored ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Bisquity, citrusy aroma with notes of milk chocolate. Malty flavor with big fuggle or cascade hops for balance. Medium-bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel and a lengthy, bitter finish. Recommended.
